Forgotten Palms

  • Forgotten Palms examines the palm tree as an enduring symbol of the American West — an emblem of paradise, prosperity and escape, often found in landscapes far removed from those ideals.

    Scattered across deserted roadsides, abandoned developments and the edges of urban sprawl, these familiar silhouettes stand as solitary survivors of a changing environment. Some flourish in carefully cultivated surroundings, while others decay among the remnants of places that have long since lost their purpose.

    The series explores the contrast between the palm's romanticised identity and its often overlooked reality, where beauty, resilience and deterioration coexist within the same landscape.
